Wine Glass Painting Girls Date Night Idea

Hello everyone, what do you like to do with your girl friends?

Sometimes you need a crazy friend to do crazy things with. My coworker Meghan left my work group and took another job. Level up to friendship! This was our first official Girls Night out since she left. We decided to try out the Drinkable Arts. Here's a picture of the Narwhals we painted. Why Narwhals? Because Meghan's obsessed with them and they are the magical unicorns of the sea after all.

We went to Olio's restaurant in Groton, had some great food, wine. Try Olio's bread basket-it is garlicky goodness!

In the backroom, Mary Damm the lovely teacher from Drinkable Arts had everything set up and ready for the fun to begin.

She had beautiful samples ready of the things she's painted. My favorite is the watermelon glass she painted so that the inside shows seeds of the watermelon and the exterior shows the rind. Now that is talent!!

She walked up through glass painting, we met some lovely ladies sitting across.

Great conversations, great drinks and desserts later, the friendship was restored and we experienced an amazing  night together. There's nothing better than going through an experience together to bring people closer. This is one of the best girls date nights ever.

Try it out with your girl friends. Check out Mary Damm's next event. She was charming, patient, talented and just a great teacher.

Organized Card Giver Post #2: Prepare to Succeed!

Hey everyone,  If you’re reading this post, it means you’re somewhat serious about the New Year’s resolution to send cards to people you care about. Do me a favor and give yourself a quick pat on the back from me. Starting is half the battle.  Actually, it’s more important to start, than to succeed. People that start something are usually the ones that end up finishing strong. I tend to procrastinate, just like everyone else. But, just like with anything, if I tell myself, just start….just run for 5 mins, just workout for 5 mins, just clean for a minute, I build momentum to keep going forward. Then when the time is up, its not so bad. You can keep going more… That’s exactly what we’re going to do this week. We’re going to start strong. That’s all you need to do for this week. I know the New Year’s doesn’t start until a month from now, but we want to actually hit the ground running as soon as the new year hits. So, preparation is the key here. For this week#1, and...
