Organized Card Giver Post #3: Make some quick January cards

As a part of this Organized Card giving challenge, I'll be posting tutorials and tips on how to make quick cards, but seeing as it is December and you may have a few cards to send out in January, let's kick start January with some already handmade cards.

One of my favorite quick cards are the kits, that stampin up has, where they include everything including ink, glue, dimensionals, paper and envelopes all for $35 and you make 20 cards out of it. It's cheaper than Hallmark and they are beautiful. Almost a little more beautiful than what I usually can come up with.

You can even sit, sip some wine by the fireplace this Christmas break and make all of these and be ready for the cards in January.

Check out https://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/default.aspx?culture=en-us&dbwsdemoid=2156819
to order your kits today. Use hostess code TVFKYXJG for orders under $150.

** If you have some handmade cards ready at hand or have materials to make some other cards, you are already all set for January and you can skip this step!**

Day 2: Color Block Technique

Oh well, my mysteriousness is part of why he loves me! For Day 2, we're making this beautiful color block background on the card. You see how it just makes this whole card come alive? Step 1: Gather your goodies. You need a clear block ( I definitely recommend the stampin up blocks, they are the only ones this technique really works for). Get a piece of whisper white cardstock and the markers! Step 2: Color your block starting on one end with real red marker.  Step 3: Color with Tangelo Twist, right above the real red. Step 4: Color with yellow marker of choice, over the orange!  Step 5: Color with a blue marker of choice, over the yellow!  Step 6: Get everything away that you don't want getting wet!! and...Spritz the b...
